About The Position

LCS is seeking In-House Counsel to serve as the company’s primary legal advisor, supporting all aspects of legal, compliance, and business operations. This role will work closely with executive leadership to provide practical, business-focused legal guidance across contracts, data requests, compliance, and day-to-day operations. This position will have a strong emphasis on commercial contracts, partnership agreements, and third-party requests for data. In addition, this individual will support a range of legal needs across the business, including employment matters, corporate governance, and immigration related items as they arise. The ideal candidate is a proactive and solutions-oriented legal professional who can navigate complex legal issues, manage risk, and support company growth in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to be directly involved in key business decisions that impact both our products and the customers we serve.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with the state bar
  • 3+ years of relevant legal experience in corporate, employment, or related fields
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Experience with handling subpoenas, data privacy, or customer data requests
  • Working knowledge of employment law and general corporate legal matters
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical, business-focused solutions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of discretion and professionalism with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to executive leadership and internal departments
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor agreements, service agreements, NDAs, and commercial agreements
  • Review and respond to subpoenas and third-party request for data, ensuring compliance with applicable laws
  • Partner with internal teams to balance customer trust, data privacy, and legal obligations
  • Support business operations by identifying risks and offering practical legal solutions
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, particularly those impacting SaaS and data handling
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and provide guidance on changes impacting the business
  • Oversee and manage legal disputes, claims, or litigation matters as needed
  • Coordinate with and manage outside counsel to achieve favorable outcomes and control costs
  • Support corporate governance activities, internal policies, and risk management processes
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, investigations, and disciplinary actions in partnership with HR
  • Provide legal input on business initiatives, product considerations, and strategic decisions
  • Assist with special projects and transactions as needed
