About The Position

Mountain West Farm Bureau is seeking a full-time In-House Auto Claims Representative to join their team. This role involves comprehensive training and mentorship to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to handle auto insurance claims, including investigating, analyzing, and settling claims by determining the extent of personal or property loss/damages. The In-House Auto Claims Representative serves as an internal liaison between policyholders, internal departments, and external stakeholders to process and resolve auto claims accurately. This full-time position is located at their home office in Laramie, WY and typically works 40 hours per week.

  • Prior experience in insurance, customer service, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to obtain a state adjuster’s license.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to claim sites as required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • General experience with sales, repairs, or services of automobiles, powersports or trailers.
  • Must pass a drug and alcohol screening.
  • Must undergo a background check.
  • Must have a clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of insurance policies, terms, and coverage types.
  • Background and work experience in auto, powersport and trailer repair, sales, or valuation related fields.
  • Certifications in mechanical and body repair (I-Car, ASE, etc.).
  • Basic investigation, evaluation, and negotiation skills.
