Part-Time In-Home Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an In-Home, Associate Veterinarian for the Northern Virginia area, including Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, and Falls Church. This role offers an alternative to traditional in-clinic practice, focusing on compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. As a mobile veterinarian, you will provide end-of-life care, which is described as deeply appreciated and emotionally fulfilling work. You will join a community of over 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with a culture of kindness, ongoing training, seasoned mentors, and dedicated practice managers.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Availability to work some weekends
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
- Conduct an average of 3-4 un-rushed appointments per day.
- Practice medicine that aligns with personal values and provides emotional fulfillment.
