About The Position

Wellspring is seeking a full-time In-Home Support Specialist to work one-on-one with adults as they build the practical skills, confidence, and stability needed to live more independently in their homes and communities. This hands-on role goes beyond simply providing assistance. The In-Home Support Specialist helps clients put their individualized treatment plans into action through skills training, cueing, supervision, medication support, therapeutic behavioral interventions, connection to community resources, emotion regulation, crisis coping, and development of healthy interpersonal skills. Every visit is an opportunity to help someone move forward in their recovery and build a healthier, more hopeful life.

Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of experience working with individuals who receive services for treatment of a mental health disorder or co-occurring disorder.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must have access to a personal, registered, and insured vehicle to transport clients (when company vehicles aren’t available) and to travel between client locations and related appointments in the greater Louisville area.
  • Must possess a valid, active driver's license in good standing.
  • Must have clearances of state and federal background checks, multiple abuse/sex offender registries, and clearance of exclusion lists prior to employment.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
