About The Position

We provide compassionate in-home care that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and other adults. Our caregivers help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent while receiving care in the place they call home. If you are dependable, reliable, and compassionate toward seniors, we would love the opportunity to work with you. Caregivers support clients with a range of non-medical needs that may include companionship and conversation, meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. Personal care responsibilities involve assistance with hygiene, dressing, grooming, activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility and transfer support, and safety monitoring to help prevent falls. Transportation to appointments or errands may also be required when applicable. Comfort Keepers' mission is "People Caring for People." Requirements

  • Currently certified or licensed as a CNA, PSS, or DSW in the State of Maine.
  • Dependable, reliable, and compassionate toward seniors.
  • Trustworthy, reliable caregivers who follow through on commitments and take pride in providing quality care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients who may have hearing loss, cognitive decline, or dementia.
  • Ability to work independently, respond thoughtfully to unexpected situations, maintain professional boundaries, and safeguard client confidentiality.
  • Attendance, punctuality, and dependability are critical.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Own reliable transportation (drop-offs are not permitted).
  • Proof of auto insurance.
  • A dependable cell phone with active service.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Subject to a criminal background check and verification with Adult Protective Services (APS) and Child Protective Services (CPS).
  • Ability to pass a Background Check.

Responsibilities
