About The Position

Right at Home is seeking dependable, compassionate In-Home Caregivers to provide companion and personal care to our clients in Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities to help them remain safe and independent in their homes. We are specifically looking for morning help, three times a week for a Veteran.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Proof of Car Insurance
• Pass Background Check
• Ability to be reliable and dependable
• Desire to care for older adults, keeping them safe and independent in their homes

Responsibilities

• Provide personal cares- showers, dressing, assisted walking, transfers
• Assist with feeding, medication reminders, meal planning
• Follow agency policies, procedures, and protocols
• Provide companionship and engaging activities as appropriate
• Provide transportation as needed
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry assistance
• Meal preparation
• Participating in activities the client enjoys like puzzles or games
• Assisted walking, transfers, and exercises
• Help with bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene
