About The Position

Texmed Personal Care is looking for compassionate individuals to provide non-skilled care for clients in the comfort of their own home. The caregiver may be asked to perform a variety of services based on the clients' needs such as grooming assistance, medication reminders, light housework, cooking, bathing assistance, and transportation assistance.

Requirements

High school graduate and/or GED graduate.
Caregiving Experience: 1 year (Required)
Driver's License (Required)
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Must have the ability to pass a criminal background check.
Ability to read and write consistent with job requirements.
Must be able to lift, turn and transfer clients weighing up to 200 pounds.
Must be able to lift and carry items up to 10 pounds.
Must have reliable transportation to and from clients residence.
Must have a working smart phone.

Responsibilities

Follow the individualized service plan as outlined and agreed upon by the agency and client.
Develop and maintain excellent rapport with clients and co-workers.
Perform client services according to the individualized service plan.
Help the client to maintain good personal hygiene.
Assist in maintaining a healthy, safe environment.
Coordinate and prepare nutritious meals for the client.
Engage with the client in a positive way that is enriching to the client.
Establish a relationship with client and family, which transmits trust and confidentiality.
Document care of client and duties as outlined in the client service plan per agency protocol.
Effectively communicate to the agency team.
Report any change in the client’s mental or physical condition or in the client’s home situation to his/her immediate supervisor.
