In-Home Caregiver (Flexible, Part-Time)
About The Position
SummitWest Care, a nonprofit home health agency serving Mesa County, is seeking reliable and compassionate caregivers to provide in-home support for clients. The role focuses on helping individuals remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes, with support from a team that values their contributions. No prior caregiver experience is required, as paid training is provided. Current scheduling needs include afternoon availability, with hours being part-time and variable (under 30 hours per week), scheduled based on both caregiver availability and client needs. Additional hours may become available with higher acuity skills/training and caregiver availability. This is not a full-time position and will remain under 30 hours per week. No overnight shifts are offered.
Requirements
- 18+ years old
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
- Dependable, compassionate, and willing to learn
- Comfort working independently in client's homes
Responsibilities
- Companionship & Homemaking: Light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, meal preparation, grocery shopping, errands, social interaction, companionship.
- Personal Care Assistance: Help with bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility support, safe transfers, toileting, continence care, medication reminders, protective oversight.
- Health Maintenance (Training provided, RN sign-off required): Monitoring vitals, reporting change in condition, assisting with mobility and safety, following individualized care plans under RN guidance.
