Requirements

• Currently certified or licensed as a CNA, PSS, or DSW in the State of Maine.
• Trustworthy, reliable, and follow through on commitments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients who may have hearing loss, cognitive decline, or dementia.
• Ability to work independently, respond thoughtfully to unexpected situations, maintain professional boundaries, and safeguard client confidentiality.
• Attendance, punctuality, and dependability are critical.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Own reliable transportation (drop-offs are not permitted).
• Proof of auto insurance.
• A dependable cell phone with active service.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with a range of non-medical needs that may include companionship and conversation, meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
• Provide personal care responsibilities involving assistance with hygiene, dressing, grooming, activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility and transfer support, and safety monitoring to help prevent falls.
• Provide transportation to appointments or errands when applicable.
