In Home Caregiver for Veterans
About The Position
Kennedy Care is seeking compassionate individuals to join their Patriot Care team as In-Home Caregivers for Veterans. This role, also known as a Life Care Professional, focuses on providing respectful, high-quality in-home assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) to enable veterans to remain independent in their homes. The position is located in Kalkaska, MI, with potential for additional hours within a 25-mile radius. The role involves approximately 11 hours per week, with scheduling typically Monday-Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. to support work-life balance. Kennedy Care has been providing home care services since 2003 and offers personalized care, including nanny services, in-home care, and ABA therapy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Willingness to commute within a 25-mile radius
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Proficiency with mobile apps and technology
Responsibilities
- Assist veterans with daily activities of living such as bathing, dressing, and transferring.
- Provide a supportive environment that builds trust with veterans and their families.
- Communicate veteran changes or health concerns directly with your care team.
- Complete necessary training and education with our electronic HR software.
- Use electronic software for timekeeping.
