About The Position
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to a client in his home. Empathy Hands Home Care is looking for reliable, compassionate, and qualified caregivers to serve our clients in the Pomona area. Must be fluent in Spanish/English. We are looking for experienced Caregivers, CNAs, or senior companions. This is our agency's goal. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in their home. Requirements
- Must be fluent in Spanish/English.
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred, especially in outpatient, geriatrics, or in-home care settings.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to teach clients about their care plans effectively.
- Must be patient, empathetic, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work on Weekends
Nice To Haves
- Experience in patient care or senior care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of home community care practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to perform light cleaning duties as part of maintaining a safe environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and this family
- Compassionate nature combined with patience and understanding.
- Ability to transfer the client safely when needed, adhering to proper lifting or transfer techniques.
- Familiarity with meal preparation that meets nutritional needs.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
- Do you have a current TB test?
- Are you registered with the CA Home Care Registry?
- Do you have experience caring for someone with Alzheimer's?
- Do you have experience with the gait belt?
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support clients with mobility assistance, including lifting when necessary.
- Medication reminders and monitoring health conditions.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
