About The Position

McLeod Home Care is seeking experienced, caring, and compassionate Care Professionals for an In-Home Care Scheduler position. This role is crucial for coordinating and maintaining caregiver schedules to ensure clients receive consistent, high-quality care. The Scheduler will work closely with caregivers, clients, and office staff to fill open shifts, manage schedule changes, and respond to call-outs while adhering to company policies and client care needs. The company values its Care Professionals, with a significant percentage being referred by current staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Proficiency with scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain caregiver schedules for client assignments.
  • Match caregivers with clients based on availability, skills, location, and client preferences.
  • Monitor daily schedules to ensure all shifts are covered.
  • Respond promptly to caregiver call-outs and arrange replacement coverage.
  • Communicate schedule changes to caregivers, clients, and office staff.
  • Confirm caregiver availability and update scheduling systems accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding new caregivers by coordinating availability and initial client assignments.
  • Monitor overtime and work hours to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with care managers, branch managers, and recruiting staff to meet staffing needs.
  • Address client and caregiver scheduling concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as required.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
