About The Position
ProTrain is seeking an experienced In-Person instructor to teach a Medical Assistant course. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching in a classroom or synchronous environment and possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in Medical Assisting. This is a part-time, contracted teaching position with the potential for future classes for the right candidate. The course is located in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, with tentative offerings in late July and early August. Flexibility to teach on weeknights and/or Saturdays is preferred.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years teaching experience
- Minimum 3 years in related field of study (Medical Assisting)
- Must adhere to weekly class schedule
- Active National Medical Assistant Certification (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, etc.)
- Experience teaching in a classroom or synchronous environment
Nice To Haves
- Flexibility to teach on weeknights and/or a Saturday is preferred
Responsibilities
- Teach Medical Assistant course topics including Medical Records, Medical Asepsis / OSHA Standard, Sterilization and Disinfection, Vital Signs, Physical Examination, Eye and Ear Assessment, Tissue Healing, Gynecologic Exam and Prenatal Care, Pediatric Examination, Minor Office Surgery, Administration of Medication, EKG, Colon Procedures, Radiology, Clinical Laboratory, Urinary System, Phlebotomy, Hematology, Blood Chemistry and Immunology, Microbiology, and Emergency Medical Procedures.
- Adhere to the weekly class schedule.
- Provide quality classroom and online training.
