About The Position
Long-Term We are looking for an immediate long-term contract opening for an Import Export Agent in Atlanta, GA for our client an International Cargo company. We are looking for ambitious and detail-oriented individuals to perform fast-paced warehouse cargo work, under supervision.
Requirements
- GED/High School desired
- Must be eligible to work in the United States for any company without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Processes export & import inquiries as per client requirements and procedures such as processing of discrepancies at acceptance, preparation and finalization of outbound flights/trucks & handling of import documentation (delivery, transfer, and abandoned shipment)
- Processes all Air Waybills and HAWBs & ensures accurate data capture as per client’s requirements and procedures
- Handles Special Cargo
- Initiates invoicing, accepts cash payments
- Performs Service Recovery activities (i.e. tracing, warehouse checks, offloads) and Airmail Handling
- Fully supports the quality standards
- Works according to documented CHM and GOM procedures
- Observe & apply the security requirements of the client and local authorities
- Contacts customers & inform them of any/all irregularities
