Import Automotive Technician
About The Position
Chevrolet of Martinsburg is seeking a skilled Import Automotive Technician to join a growing service team. This role is ideal for technicians with experience diagnosing and repairing Hyundai, Kia, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Subaru, Volkswagen, Mazda, or other import vehicles. The technician will diagnose and repair engine, transmission, drivability, and electrical concerns, as well as perform brake, steering, suspension, and HVAC repairs. They will utilize OEM scan tools and factory diagnostic equipment, read and interpret wiring diagrams and factory service information, and perform warranty repairs, recalls, and manufacturer campaigns. The role also includes servicing and repairing hybrid and electric vehicles, diagnosing and repairing Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), conducting vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance services, and documenting repair recommendations and completed repairs accurately. Collaboration with service advisors and parts personnel is essential for timely repairs and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 3+ years of automotive repair and diagnostic experience preferred
- Experience working on import vehicles preferred
- Automotive Technology education or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license required
Nice To Haves
- ASE Certifications (A1-A8) preferred
- Manufacturer certifications are a plus
- Own tools preferred
Responsibilities
