About The Position

As an experienced Implementation Manager you will lead the onboarding of enterprise clients from contract to go-live. In this role, you’ll ensure all boarding documents, configurations, and integrations are completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled at cross-functional communication. You’ll act as the central liaison between the client, sales, risk, underwriting, technical, and operations teams to ensure all boarding docs are completed correctly.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in payments, fintech, merchant acquiring, or financial services implementation or onboarding.
  • Strong knowledge of merchant setup processes, including MIDs, underwriting documentation, and gateway configuration.
  • Familiarity with card-present and card-not-present environments, PayFac models, and ISO/acquirer structures.
  • Excellent project management skills — able to manage multiple enterprise implementations simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both clients and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Salesforce, JIRA, Smartsheet, or other CRM/project platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience coordinating with acquiring banks, processors, or payment gateways.
  • Understanding of PCI compliance, ACH, and settlement workflows.
  • Prior experience working with large enterprise merchants or software platforms integrating payments.
  • Ability to document and refine onboarding workflows for scale.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the implementation and onboarding process for new enterprise merchants and partners.
  • Coordinate and track the completion of all boarding and underwriting documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise clients during the onboarding, document completion process, providing updates, timelines, and guidance.
  • Partner with Sales, Underwriting, Risk, Product, and Operations to ensure all internal teams have the information and materials they need for activation.
  • Work with integration and technical teams to ensure API credentials, gateway configurations, terminals, and payment setups are tested and functional.
  • Develop and maintain implementation project plans, timelines, and client status reports.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may delay merchant activation or funding.
  • Support internal process improvements for faster and more efficient enterprise client onboarding.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure smooth handoff to Account Management or Customer Success.
