Implementation Manager

About The Position

Paslay Group is the premier, full-service consulting firm providing Executive Program Management for complex capital development programs and enterprise-level business advisory strategies to increase revenue, control costs, improve performance, and ensure long-term success. Founded in 2006 by former industry executives, we bring deep expertise and a proven track record of delivering strategic results. Airports across the country are in the middle of the largest capital investment cycle in their history - replacing terminals, rebuilding concourses, and modernizing facilities that have to remain fully operational every single day of construction. Paslay Group works as an extension of the airport's executive team to deliver these programs, and the Implementation Manager is the role that makes that delivery happen in the field. As Implementation Manager, you provide integrated direction across the design and construction phases of a major capital program. Your job is to make multiple concurrent projects behave as one coherent program: holding design teams, contractors, and specialty systems integrators to a single standard, sequencing the work so travelers and airport staff barely feel it, and protecting scope, budget, schedule, safety, and quality when those things come into conflict. When airport leadership needs to know whether the program is genuinely on track, your assessment is the one they rely on.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years in construction or design management on airport capital programs.
  • A track record of delivering major design and construction projects on budget, on schedule, in scope, and to safety and quality standards.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and holding them to a standard.
  • Experience delivering in active, operating facility environments where multiple stakeholders have competing priorities.
  • The ability to review and evaluate technical design documents and production and construction schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Direct multiple concurrent major projects so design management and construction management stay cohesive and consistent, and so delivery never comes at the expense of the client's operations.
  • Architects, engineers, specialty systems consultants and integrators, and the general contractor - plus professional and technical staff, directly and through other managers.
  • The compliance and quality assurance program, and constructability reviews timed to catch problems while design can still change.
  • Lead the change process through design and construction, from evaluation to disposition, and keep phasing and packaging aligned among owner, designer, and contractor.
  • Help procure design teams, contractors, and design-builders, and support senior leadership and project controls in preparing contract and procurement documents.
  • Report progress, risk, and issues clearly, and manage the relationships between project leadership, client administration, contractors, tenants, and operational stakeholders.
