About The Position

Alfa is looking to recruit an Implementation Architect to join our team. At Alfa, Implementation Architects are responsible for understanding customer requirements and devising solutions to meet these requirements, through configuration, reports, system enhancements, data conversion, and integrations with other systems. Working closely with our customers and Alfa engineering teams, Implementation Architects are key to ensuring that the end solution for each client is fit-for-purpose, and that the implementation of Alfa Systems is smooth.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working on an Alfa implementation, using Alfa Systems
  • Experience in the auto finance/equipment finance field
  • Experience in a lead role on an enterprise software implementation program
  • Demonstrated experience in solutioning for customer requirements, through system configuration, gap analysis, feature design, data reporting, and integrating with other systems
  • Proven people management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead a workstream on a client implementation of Alfa Systems, responsible for a specific area such as business analysis, application support, data conversion, or cutover planning and execution.
  • Conduct business analysis, including requirements gathering, documentation of user stories, leading interactions with customers and software engineering teams to identify gaps, and ensuring new features satisfy customer requirements.
  • Lead process mapping workshops and process documentation, including operational processes with significant accounting, reporting and integration impacts, and advise on process optimization.
  • Guide customers in configuring Alfa Systems to satisfy their requirements and business processes.
  • Support accounting and finance workshops.
  • Lead an Alfa team responsible for defect investigation and triage, collaborating closely with software engineering teams to ensure efficient issue resolution, overseeing QA and review of issues, understanding customer impacts, and providing workarounds.
  • Advise the customer on test strategy, ensuring test coverage and requirements traceability.
  • Lead data mapping workshops.
  • Oversee transform and load development and data reconciliation.
  • Plan and oversee execution of data conversion during go-live events and prior dress rehearsals.
  • Support the customer to ensure a smooth transition to live operation, including creation of detailed cutover and rollback plans.
  • Lead a team providing initial intensive post go-live support, and ensure a smooth handover to the central Alfa Support team once the customer is stable.
  • Develop training materials and deliver training.
  • Be fully accountable for the success of your workstream, likely responsible for the supervision and support of consultants assigned to your workstream.
  • Work closely with the corresponding lead on the client side, the rest of the Alfa implementation team, and Alfa software engineering teams to ensure the success of both your specific stream and the overall program.
  • Plan workstream timelines and estimate resourcing levels needed to ensure scope delivery within required timescales, being aware of dependencies between your workstream and the broader program plan.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues that might impact workstream or program delivery timelines; create and action mitigation plans for risks and issues impacting your workstream, escalating where appropriate.
  • Become an expert in Alfa Systems and the industries supported, sharing this knowledge by delivering training, contributing to updates to delivery methodology, and assisting the sales team with requests from prospects.
  • Take ownership for leading progress reporting, working within program timelines, and budget tracking for your workstream.
  • Develop exceptional relationships with members of the client and Alfa teams through tact and diplomacy.
