Implant Equipment Engineer (Semiconductor)
About The Position
The Implant Equipment Engineer will be the Owner/Subject Matter Expert for assigned equipment. This role involves monitoring and improving equipment performance, including availability, throughput, line yield, and cost of ownership. The engineer will also be responsible for generating and updating tool maintenance specifications, assisting and training technicians, and troubleshooting complex equipment problems to define and implement solutions. Additionally, the role includes designing, testing, and implementing equipment improvements and modifications, identifying and evaluating second source parts suppliers, addressing parts obsolescence issues, and assisting with equipment purchases, installations, relocations, and qualification.
Requirements
- BS or equivalent in appropriate Engineering discipline. Qualified work experience, training, or military training and service in the proper engineering area may be substituted for the formal education requirement.
- 5 or more years of Semiconductor experience in Equipment Engineering.
- Ion Implant expertise required.
- Experience supporting the following implanters, AMAT 9500xR, Varian E220/E500, or equivalent.
- Excellent mechanical and electronic skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Nice To Haves
- Past experience supporting the following implanters, AMAT 9500xR, Varian E220/E500, or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an OEM Field Service Engineer a plus.
- Experience supporting Thin Films equipment, AMAT 5500 Endura, Novellus C1, Varian 3XXX, WJ999R, AMAT P5000/P5200, or equivalent.
Responsibilities
