You would coordinate with a team of wildlife management professionals to oversee regional impact analysis activities and coordination, which includes building relationships with local, state and federal partners to plan projects that improve or mitigate impacts to wildlife habitats. Other duties would include assisting the planning and implementation of large-scale Watershed Restoration Initiative projects on private, state and federal lands. You would also be a local expert on minimizing impacts to wildlife from recreational activities along the wildland-urban interface. The Impact Analysis Biologist position is one of the most fulfilling positions in the agency. This position works with the Aquatics, Wildlife, Outreach, and Law Enforcement Sections to enhance and protect wildlife and habitat in northern Utah. It is a dynamic opportunity to work with various stakeholders to avoid, minimize, and mitigate impacts to wildlife through education and building robust partnerships.
