About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Immigration Paralegal to join our team. This hybrid role involves drafting legal documents, assembling immigration petition and application packets, communicating directly with clients, and maintaining organized case files. The ideal candidate will have prior immigration legal experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of work with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all filings, tracking deadlines, and providing essential support to the immigration team.

Requirements

  • Immigration legal experience required (law firm, legal admin, paralegal, or similar role within an immigration practice).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to drive priorities and tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable with high-volume, hands-on, manual work, including accurate mail handling and packet assembly.
  • Sharp attention to detail to catch missing documents and errors.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple packets and deadlines.
  • Reliable, in-person presence at our Arizona office.
  • Clear, professional communicator over the phone and in writing.
  • Trustworthy with sensitive and confidential client information.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven legal environment.

  • Experience with specific immigration filing types (family-based, employment-based, asylum, or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Draft legal documents, including immigration forms and supporting documentation for filings.
  • Prepare client correspondence, such as document requests, status updates, routine responses, and client corrections.
  • Cross-check all documentation against legal requirements to ensure accuracy and minimize revisions.
  • Assemble immigration petition and application packets, ensuring all required forms, supporting documents, and exhibits are accurate, complete, and correctly organized before submission.
  • Communicate directly with clients to request missing documents, confirm receipt, answer routine questions, and provide status updates.
  • Track packet status and deadlines, flagging missing information or documents needed from clients or attorneys.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail for the immigration practice, including sorting, logging, and routing time-sensitive correspondence, notices, and filings.
  • Maintain organized physical and digital case files, including scanning, filing, and data entry of client documents.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and legal staff to confirm packet requirements and ensure timely, accurate submission.
  • Handle sensitive client documents (passports, identification, immigration records, medical records) with care, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Provide day-to-day office support for the immigration team as needed.
