About The Position

Harris Beach Murtha is in search of an Immigration Paralegal to assist in the preparation of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa applications for corporate and individual clients. The Immigration Paralegal is responsible for preparing a wide variety of business-based nonimmigrant (H-1B, L-1, TN, E, and O-1) and immigrant (employment and family-based) petitions, including forms preparation, and supporting documentation. Requirements

  • 3+ years of Business Immigration paralegal experience required
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a field emphasizing writing or communication
  • Superior writing/editing skills for complex support letters and strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with MS Office and expertise with computer assisted legal resources
  • The ability to manage multiple high-volume priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional, cooperative, positive and flexible attitude

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in business and family-based immigration (preferred not required)

Responsibilities

  • Manage high-volume corporate client accounts and work closely with clients to provide comprehensive immigration services
  • Compile and maintain records of immigration filings, other documentation, and records of activity on behalf of clients
  • Review immigration regulations and be able to apply them to various case scenarios
  • Perform research using all available immigration research tools including government agencies' websites
  • Write detailed and complex supporting argumentation
  • Enter case information into case management system
