This role involves preparing and filing USCIS forms and drafting supporting legal letters for various visa types and applications. Requirements

  • Ability to manage client relationships for high-volume clients and complex projects under short deadlines.
  • 2+ years of business immigration law experience.
  • Ability to accurately and timely input billable and non-billable time into billing system (Intapp).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with various technology platforms, such as Tracker.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Initiative, team orientation, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree a plus but other relevant work experience considered.
  • Paralegal Certificate a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file all USCIS forms and draft supporting legal letters for all types of visas/applications/petitions.
  • Assist and support attorneys in the preparation and filing of various non-immigrant petitions (H-1Bs, L-1A/Bs, E-3, E-2, TN, O-1, P Visas).
  • Assist and support attorneys in the preparation of various immigrant matters (PERMs, EB 1-3 I-140s, I-485s, Naturalization).
  • Maintain communication with clients throughout the lifecycle of a case.
  • Liaise with relevant government agencies (USCIS, ICE, CBP, US Department of State, US Department of Labor).
  • Analyze, review, and organize documents and data; prepare/coordinate document production and responses to requests for evidence.
  • Review/prepare job descriptions.
  • Assist attorneys with gathering evidence, preparing declarations and supporting documents, preparing evidence and exhibits, and complying with procedural requirements and filing deadlines for cases in Immigration Court.
  • Assist and support attorneys in obtaining civil and criminal court records for immigration matters.
  • Analyze and review case details to determine future actions.
  • Prepare responses to audit requests.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and initiative regarding case assignments; identify and resolve delays in process.
  • Enter time records.
  • Create new files and update client matter reports.
  • Address client case status inquiries, including processing remaining steps in filing, processing times, and consular appointment issues.
  • Conduct ongoing case tracking and management.
  • Enter billable time into billing system on a timely basis.
  • Adhere to all office and firm protocols related to work hygiene, including punctuality and time management.
