The Injection Mold Machine (IMM) Operator visually inspects, does some manual operations and boxes plastic parts as they are ejected from molding presses. This role is responsible for the molding of small to midsize plastic parts to job packet requirements, visually identifying and separating nonconforming parts, and performing manual operations as specified. The operator will also be responsible for daily checking and understanding of posted job assignments, communicating with the Product Handler or Shift Supervisor to troubleshoot problems, obtaining necessary supplies or documentation, and maintaining proper quality and quantities of molded materials. They will visually inspect parts during press runs, take appropriate action when bad parts are identified, and maintain accurate counts and documentation. Additionally, the operator must understand and comply with 5s duties and checklists, prepare for incoming shifts by making up boxes and providing packaging materials, and assist in training as requested. The role also involves notifying the supervisor of unsafe conditions or defective equipment, rotating jobs as needed, and utilizing six-sigma quality tools when appropriate. The operator is responsible for maintaining and supporting processes, procedures, and KPIs owned by their position, and reviewing all job-related procedures per the "HR LG 01 Training Matrix", completing all required training within the stated time.
