About The Position

Operates X-Ray Equipment to make radiographs of designated anatomical area. Responsibilities include knowledge of all x-ray equipment, proper patient positioning, exposures, digital image management for interpretations, implementation of patient charges, and assists physician as required. Will be available for emergency on-call procedures as required. Recognizes the need for control/assessment of pain for patients and helps to prevent or reduce patient pain levels when possible.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Possess a current ARRT registry
• Less than one year of work experience
• Completes hospital orientation and training
• Ability to manage sometime stressful work environment
• Ability to answer phone and relay messages
• Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel
• Ability to deal efficiently and continuously with all hospital personnel
• Ability to work in a team environment and take criticism
• Ability to operate computer terminal

Nice To Haves

• At least three months of experience preferred
