About The Position

The Iowa River Landing Clinic is seeking a 100%25 Imaging Technologist. Perform and teach specialized diagnostic and research imaging and spectroscopic procedures utilizing complex imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam. Imaging Technologist with primary duties in multiple modalities, including CT, General Diagnostic Radiography, and Mammography. Utilizing complex imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam. Perform radiography procedures using a variety of imaging equipment with close patient monitoring. This includes independent operation with minimal physician supervision. Provides instruction to trainees, medical staff and students on operational safety precautions. Establish rapport with patient and provide information about how the exam is performed and what is required of the patient Has knowledge and understanding of key Service Excellence principles of interactions with patient and staff. Utilize standard safety precautions to minimize or eliminate risk to patients, personnel and equipment. Prepare and administer contrast material to patients under radiologist’s supervision as required Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of two-year or other approved program by Joint Review committee in Radiologic Technology Education is required.
  • Current certification or eligibility for certification in diagnostic procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) is required.
  • Current Permit to practice in the State of Iowa for all radiographers operating ionizing radiation-emitting equipment is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Recent work or clinical education experience in CT or Mammography
  • CT modality training
  • CT or Mammography certification or eligible
  • Experience and/or certification in other modalities
