  • Performs all aspects of patient care within scope in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
  • Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures.
  • Assists in maintaining basic records and reports.
  • Assists in training of students and ancillary personnel.
  • Demonstrates and maintains working knowledge of imaging processing and software/hardware components.
  • Participates in peer review.

Responsibilities

  • Works under general supervision and performs diagnostic procedures within their scope of practice.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and competency in the field of certification, and the ability to provide quality patient care.
  • May perform procedures on the neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Maintains competency skills including the ability to perform procedures on special populations.
  • Actively stays abreast of new technology, and protocol updates, plan/coordinate multiple activities, and adapt to workplace changes.
  • Demonstrates continuous self-improvement, makes effective contributions to section and may serve as a student preceptor.
