Requirements

Requires completion of a recognized Radiologic Technology program.
Requires ARRT certification or registry eligible.
Requires California State Licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Requires demonstrated knowledge and competency in the field of certification.
Requires ability to provide quality patient care.
Requires ability to perform procedures on special populations.
Requires ability to adapt to workplace changes.
Requires ability to make effective contributions to section.
Requires ability to serve as a student preceptor.
Requires ability to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure.
Requires ability to make appropriate physician contact for intervention.
Requires ability to perform all aspects of patient care within scope.
Requires ability to practice medical and surgical aseptic procedures.
Requires ability to assist in maintaining basic records and reports.
Requires ability to assist in training of students and ancillary personnel.
Requires working knowledge of imaging processing and software/hardware components.
Requires participation in peer review.

Nice To Haves

Experience with neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

Works under general supervision and performs diagnostic procedures within their scope of practice.
Demonstrates knowledge and competency in the field of certification, and the ability to provide quality patient care.
May perform procedures on the neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
Maintains competency skills including the ability to perform procedures on special populations.
Actively stays abreast of new technology, and protocol updates, plan/coordinate multiple activities, and adapt to workplace changes.
Demonstrates continuous self-improvement, makes effective contributions to section and may serve as a student preceptor.
Responsible for safe handling of radiographic equipment.
Performs fluoroscopy exams as prescribed.
Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure; makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
Performs all aspects of patient care within scope in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures.
Assists in maintaining basic records and reports.
Assists in training of students and ancillary personnel.
Demonstrates and maintains working knowledge of imaging processing and software/hardware components.
Participates in peer review.
Other duties as assigned.
