This is an open-pooled position where applicants' education and experience will be considered, and the position may be filled at a lower or higher level as appropriate. The Multi-modality Technologist I provides quality imaging and patient care within two medical imaging modalities, with a primary focus on MRI, CT, Mammography, or X-ray. They perform imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or licensed provider, under the general supervision of a Radiologist, for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to established protocols. The technologist must effectively explain procedures to patients and ensure competence in performing them, while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation. The Multi-modality Technologist I will meet all qualifications for their certified modalities and work a minimum of 40% of the time in a second modality. The position may require flex shifts and support at different UTMB Campuses. The Multi-modality Technologist II also provides quality imaging and patient care within two medical imaging modalities.
