This is an open-pooled position where applicants' education/experience will be considered, and the position may be filled at a lower or higher level as appropriate. The Multi-modality Technologist I provides quality imaging and patient care within two (2) medical imaging modalities, with MRI, CT, Mammography, or X-ray as the primary modality. They perform imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a clinic or hospital setting as requested by the ordering physician or other licensed provider, under the general supervision of a Radiologist for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols. The Technologist I must effectively explain procedures to patients, be competent in performing them, and provide care while obtaining diagnostic quality images. They will meet all qualifications and requirements for the modalities in which they are certified and work a minimum of 40% of the time in the second modality. The position may require flex shifts and support at different UTMB Campuses. The Multi-modality Technologist II also provides quality imaging and patient care within two (2) medical imaging modalities. They perform imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a clinic or hospital setting as requested by the ordering physician or other licensed provider. The Technologist II will meet all qualifications and requirements for the modalities in which they are certified and will work a minimum of 40% of the time in the second modalities. The position may require flex shifts and support at different UTMB Campuses.
