About The Position

At SAM, you'll play a key role in transforming aerial imagery and LiDAR into high-quality geospatial products that support critical infrastructure projects across the country. In this role, you'll focus on processing, editing, and quality controlling aerial imagery and imagery-based mapping products while collaborating with experienced geospatial professionals. Requirements

Responsibilities

Assist in processing geospatial datasets by evaluating data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable project and industry standards.
Collaborate with project teams to support the timely delivery of high-quality mapping products.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies, software, and geospatial workflows while contributing to continuous process improvement.
Process raw aerial imagery into accurate, high-quality geospatial products, including orthophotos and other imagery-based deliverables.
Edit imagery for a variety of products, including aerial orthophotos, oblique/right-of-way (ROW) imagery, and high-resolution visual and thermal imagery.
Perform image rectification, georeferencing, mosaicking, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry accuracy standards.
Utilize MicroStation and other production software to edit LiDAR-derived DEM/DTM surfaces to support accurate image rectification.
Process and organize raw imagery and geospatial data, including data intake, management, and production workflows.
Utilize proprietary and commercial software to organize imagery and associate deliverables with client-provided assets.
Learn to classify LiDAR point clouds and compile mapping features from LiDAR and orthophotography under the guidance of experienced team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
