About The Position

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking an Imaging Technical Manager for Computed Tomography to oversee service excellence and create a safe patient-centered experience. The CT Tech Manager ensures outstanding quality and efficiency in all imaging work. This role involves continually evaluating section workflow, harnessing technological changes to reduce redundant processes, and eliminating obsolete ones. The manager supervises and assesses employees' understanding of regulatory compliance with current policies, procedures, regulations, and protocols, while fostering an environment of collaboration and respect with healthcare team members, physician colleagues, patients, and their families. Requirements

  • Oversee service excellence and create a safe patient-centered experience.
  • Ensure all work produced and provided in the imaging environment is of outstanding quality and as efficient as possible.
  • Continually evaluate section's workflow and harness changes in technology to reduce redundant processes and to eliminate those that have little value or are obsolete.
  • Supervise and assess employees' understanding of regulatory compliance with current policies, procedures, regulations, and protocols.
  • Foster an environment of collaboration and respect with health care team members, physician colleagues, patients and their families.
  • Critically evaluate and anticipate risks to patients, physicians, staff and others with the aim of preventing errors.
  • Use systems and technology that provide knowledge at the point of care to improve healthcare outcomes.
  • Provide leadership as a subject matter expert in the delivery of imaging practices within section and work with management to address issues identified with regard to quality of care standards.
  • Coach and support Imaging staff in the application of their skills and critical thinking to support technical, clinical, and clerical activities.
  • Round on patients/customers to ensure consistent application of imaging practice, service and quality standards.
  • Supervise staff, develop and implement action plans to improve performance.
  • Recognize staff performance and initiate management intervention guidelines when needed.
  • Provide the Associate Director with input on the development and achievement of department goals and champion inter/intra departmental collaboration.
  • Chair recurring subdivision meetings that focus on performance, case studies and service excellence.
  • Create, monitor, and track operating budgets.
