About The Position

Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking an Imaging Tech Assistant/Patient Transporter to join their team. This role involves escorting patients throughout the hospital, providing a reassuring presence, and contributing to the mission of quality patient care. The position is part-time, requiring 8 hours per week, with shifts available on Saturdays or Sundays from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. There is a possibility to pick up extra shifts. The role involves approximately 0.5 miles of walking per shift and requires direct patient interaction.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No Experience Required
• No Supervisor Experience Required

Responsibilities

• Performing routine duties in dealing with the daily operation of Radiology Services, including patient transportation, radiographic film development and copying, stocking supplies and clerical duties.
• Scheduling procedures, maintaining medical record information, and obtaining prescriptions when necessary.
• Escorting or transporting patients to and from examination areas.
• Assisting technologists with patient transfers to and from imaging tables.
• Assisting patients as needed.
• Maintaining and ensuring the availability of supplies and equipment.
• Following up when necessary with outside films and calling in results.
