About The Position

White Memorial Hospital is seeking a dependable PRN Imaging Services Assistant to support our Radiology team on an as-needed basis. In this role, you will assist clinical staff by safely transporting patients to and from radiology, preparing and sanitizing imaging rooms before and after procedures, and helping position patients on imaging equipment. We are looking for a flexible team player ready to pick up day, evening, or weekend coverage as shifts become available due to staff absences. No holiday shifts required! Candidates with prior patient care experience and radiology students with flexible schedules are strongly encouraged to apply! Job Description: Works under the supervision of a radiologist, technologist, or radiology nurse. Performs clerical and/or patient care duties necessary to assist in performing imaging exams. Clerical duties may include, but are not limited to patient scheduling & registration, patient screening, reception, release of information, and maintaining inventory. Patient care duties may include, but are not limited to transporting and transferring patients, preparing patients for procedures, discussing exams and preps with patients, starting IV access lines, and assisting with minimally invasive procedures as approved by regional leadership and with documentation of training and competency. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • May require Basic Life Support certification.
