Imaging Services Assistant - PRN
About The Position
Works under the supervision of a radiologist, technologist, or radiology nurse. Performs clerical and/or patient care duties necessary to assist in performing imaging exams. Clerical duties may include, but are not limited to patient scheduling & registration, patient screening, reception, release of information, and maintaining inventory. Patient care duties may include, but are not limited to transporting and transferring patients, preparing patients for procedures, discussing exams and preps with patients, starting IV access lines, and assisting with minimally invasive procedures as approved by regional leadership and with documentation of training and competency. Requirements
- Actively registered in a radiology x-ray program.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 0-3 years of experience.
Nice To Haves
- Medical Terminology
- Experience in a hospital or medical environment
- Customer service experience
- Basic Life Support certification
