About The Position

Working with the Manager and/or Director, this position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the daily functions and workflow of assigned departmental personnel. This role supervises Imaging Services personnel involved in advanced imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Non-Invasive Cardiology, Vascular Lab, Interventional, Neurodiagnostics, or Mammography procedures. The supervisor ensures department rules, regulations, procedures, and protocols are properly followed. Responsibilities include oversight of quality programs and advanced modality accreditations through the American College of Radiology (ACR) or Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). For Mammography, this role ensures compliance with FDA MQSA Regulations.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
  • Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
  • Active status through one of the following: American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT), the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), as required per specific modality.
  • Must have at least one advanced imaging credential.
  • May be required to have additional certifications dependent on department needs.
  • License from Indiana State Department of Health, as required per specific modality.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws relative to assigned area.
  • Knowledge of modality accrediting agencies and accreditation standards, per specific modality.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisors working in Interventional Radiology are encouraged but not required to meet the advanced credential requirement.

  • Ensuring compliance with FDA MQSA Regulations for Mammography.
