About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a skilled and service-focused Imaging Service Engineer II for their HTM team at PIH Health Whittier Hospital. This role involves providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced imaging systems in a hospital setting, ensuring high customer service and equipment reliability. A valid driver's license is required.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of imaging experience in general Xray (rad, fluoroscopy) and some system specific training like Cath Lab and CT preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of diagnostic imaging systems and their operation.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex imaging technologies.
  • Proficiency with common tools, test equipment, and imaging diagnostic software.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hospital environment.
  • Experience collaborating with clinical teams and supporting end-users in a healthcare setting.
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; military training or OEM certifications are a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to manage documentation, service records, and workflow within HTM tracking systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment and/or entry level of formalized training and/or equivalent military training.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair complex diagnostic imaging equipment, including General X-Ray, Cath Lab, CT, C-Arms, and Radio fluoroscopy rooms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using advanced diagnostic tools, test equipment, and software.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical staff and healthcare teams to identify, prioritize, and resolve equipment-related concerns.
  • Ensure all service activities are documented accurately within departmental tracking systems.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital, departmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide emergency technical support when needed.
  • Support a safe, reliable clinical environment by minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring optimal device performance.
