About The Position

Alliance Spine & Pain Centers is seeking an Imaging Referral Coordinator for a hybrid role. This position offers the opportunity to grow and work alongside top providers in the area. It is a full-time position that transitions to hybrid after training and meeting quality/productivity goals. The role involves participating in patient care through direct telephone, email, and fax communication with patients and referring offices to ensure efficient and professional delivery of high-quality care.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a medical office preferred.
Complies with all HIPPA standards.
Able to operate independently, in a self-directed manner, with detail, accuracy, and focus.
High school diploma or GED required.
Understanding of insurance types and benefits.
Understanding of different types of medical documents.

Responsibilities

Execute a clearly defined workflow to process outbound imaging orders for all patients.
Handle 100+ inbound imaging orders a day with accuracy.
Assist in scheduling STAT imaging orders for the patient and following up with the patient and the clinic to advise of appointment details.
Communicate directly with patients, imaging facilities, and our physicians.
Obtain appropriate signatures and orders for radiological exams.
Enter notes/special instructions for scheduling in the electronic medical record.
Maintain imaging orders to under 24 hours.
Obtain any missing documents, follow guidelines, save imaging orders and notes to the patient’s chart.
