About The Position

The Imaging Patient Care Specialist will perform as a pre-procedural coordinator and support the front desk within the Medical Imaging department. This role involves coordinating schedules, ensuring prep and recovery requirements are met, and reviewing cases with medical staff. The specialist will also handle patient reception, notify teams of patient arrivals, manage patient communication regarding delays, and maintain a healing and supportive environment. Additionally, the role includes assisting with new staff training, auditing, gathering statistics, ordering materials, and scheduling, serving as a mentor and role model.

Requirements

Two years of relevant experience required.
One year of experience as a trainer required.
Experience in registration.
Data input accuracy.
Reporting of functionality.

Responsibilities

Provides support to imaging modalities by coordinating schedules, ensuring prep and recovery requirements are met, and reviewing cases with nurses, APP’s, and Interventional Radiologists.
Provides patient reception at the check-in desk within the Medical Imaging department, notifying teams of patient arrivals, keeping patients informed of delays, and providing a healing and supportive environment.
Assists trainer with new staff training, auditing, gathering statistics, ordering materials, and scheduling.
Serves as a mentor and role model for new staff, reflecting a positive attitude towards all company policies.
