About The Position

The Imaging Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Imaging Services department by managing clinic workflows, coordinating patient callbacks, and scheduling appointments and procedures. Responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and filing patient records, as well as assembling and distributing reports to physicians. This role ensures accurate entry of departmental procedures and helps maintain adequate stock of unit supplies and forms. Additionally, the Imaging Assistant facilitates communication by receiving, managing, and directing incoming inquiries as needed. They also assist in training new employees and perform various tasks assigned by department management in alignment with hospital policies and the mission of Woman’s Hospital.

Requirements

High school diploma is required.
Customer service and data entry experience are required.
Knowledge of basic PC skills (typing, Microsoft Office) is required.

Nice To Haves

Some technical or college preferred.
Experience as a Medical Assistant is highly preferred.
Two years of experience in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
