About The Position
The Imaging Assistant assists in the performance of MRI imaging procedures under the direction of a licensed provider. Provides support in delivering safe, efficient and high-quality care. This role will focus on workflow coordination, equipment readiness, and maintaining a safe MRI environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- BLS within 90 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Assists MRI technologists with patient preparation, positioning, and transport.
- Assists patients with the completion of appropriate questionnaires/history forms.
- Assists with documentation, patient records, and data entry.
- Gathers information for upcoming MRI exams.
- Knowledge of MRI safety Zones and screening procedures
- Required to complete ARRT Imaging assistant (MRI) clinical competency requirements within 12 months of hire.
- Resets and cleans MRI suites between patients, including coil changes and room preparation.
- Supports patient comfort by providing information and addressing concerns prior to scans.
