About The Position

The Imaging Assistant position at Great Plains Health is responsible for transporting patients, maintaining a clean work area, and assisting the technologist as needed within the Diagnostic Imaging Department. • Demonstrates proper use of medical equipment used in the transporting of patients.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently transport patients needing examinations done in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
• Be knowledgeable in the safe transporting of trauma, critical or isolation patients.
• Demonstrate proper use of medical equipment used in the transporting of patients, including but not limited to carts, wheelchairs, smooth movers, and oxygen tanks.
• Maintain the supply of oxygen tanks in the department.
• Keep all medical equipment used in the transporting of equipment clean and sanitary.
• Report any equipment in need of repair to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging.
• Assist the technologists as needed.
