This role assists patients in preparation for exams, provides basic instructions, and transports patients. The Imaging Assistant uses radiology computer systems for various tasks, organizes and prepares exam rooms, and handles patient and visitor greetings and inquiries. They also act as a liaison between physicians and technologists, provide radiology reports and images, and manage health information records. The position involves documenting patient information, communicating observations, performing routine maintenance on imaging equipment, and assisting with MRI implant screening. A key aspect of this role is demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care, understanding growth and development across the life span, and assessing patient status based on age-specific needs.
