About The Position

Observes and assists in various capacities to Orlando Health Imaging areas. This role involves working in the Imaging Department 2B Bay with observing and transporting patients to and from their rooms at ORMC. Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent is required.
  • BLS/Healthcare Provider certification within 3 months of hire
  • None

Responsibilities

  • Transports bed, stretcher, and wheelchair patients in a safe, professional manner, following HIPPA and handoff compliance.
  • Uses double identifiers on every patient per The Joint Commission regulations for patient safety.
  • Orders and receives weekly radiology supplies.
  • Picks up and delivers requisitions, specimens, and other materials within the facility.
  • Assists with stocking and cleaning of rooms, puts away supplies correctly.
  • Reports faulty equipment, hazardous conditions and/or incidents to supervisor for follow up.
  • Returns equipment to designated storage area and maintains transport equipment. Cleans, deodorizes, and disinfects equipment as needed.
  • Maintains O2/suction supplies as required per facility.
  • Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
  • Delivers mail interdepartmentally as needed.
  • Adheres to Orlando Health’s mission statement and strategic imperatives.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures, department guidelines, and education requirements.
  • Attends meetings and in-services as required.
  • Maintains knowledge and skill level necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients age and status.
