About The Position

We are looking for an Expert-level TS/SCI-cleared Imagery Scientist to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of the principles of remote sensing and imagery processing and advanced exploitation methods, with a specialization in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAR collection, phenomenology, image formation, and exploitation products, as well as proficiency in relevant tools and techniques for algorithm development and analysis.

Requirements

  • 18+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree OR 15 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree OR 16 years of relevant experience with an Associate's Degree.
  • Experience as a SAR expert with understanding of collection, phenomenology, image formation process, and exploitation products.
  • Experience using SARPy and Matlab SAR toolbox.
  • Experience in RNIIRS, information theoretic-based image quality metrics, SAR imagery quality metrics and sensor metadata (e.g., graze, squint, azimuth).
  • Experience exploiting SAR to determine the occurrence and location of an OOI.
  • Experience developing, testing, and evaluating new algorithms, processes, methodologies, and products using SAR imagery with tools like Python, MATLAB, and Google Earth Engine.
  • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences on availability and capabilities of SAR.
  • Deep understanding of the principles of remote sensing and imagery processing and advanced exploitation methods.
  • Active TS/SCI and current CI Polygraph security clearance.

  • Experience applying CV and ML techniques to SAR imagery and data.

Responsibilities

  • Exploit SAR imagery to determine the occurrence and location of an Object of Interest (OOI).
  • Develop, test, and evaluate new algorithms, processes, methodologies, and products using SAR imagery with tools like Python, MATLAB, and Google Earth Engine.
  • Communicate with technical and non-technical audiences on the availability and capabilities of SAR.
  • Apply expertise in SAR collection, phenomenology, image formation process, and exploitation products.
  • Utilize SARPy and Matlab SAR toolbox for analysis.
  • Apply knowledge of RNIIRS, information theoretic-based image quality metrics, SAR imagery quality metrics, and sensor metadata (e.g., graze, squint, azimuth).
