About The Position

The Imagery Analyst will advance the capabilities of the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) by providing imagery and data analysis and will be responsible for generating intelligence products in the form of maps, datasets, reports, and presentation material. In general, the Imagery Analyst works directly with the government to process and integrate multiple geographic datasets that answer intelligence questions. NAVOCEANO is located at NASA’s Stennis Space Center and the work would be performed in NAVOCEANO’s facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Geospatial Information Systems, Physical Science or relevant technical field
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with any: GIS concepts, Geoprocessing Physical Oceanography concepts Imagery analysis Intelligence Products Vector Collection Geospatial databases
  • Self-motivated yet able to work well within a development team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong additional consideration for experience with: Modeling Riverine or Littoral Areas NMIS metadata standards NEC/NSG Feature Catalogs Python Scripting ESRI and SOCET Technologies
