About The Position

Imagery Analysts analyze and interpret imagery to support U.S. military and policymaker interests. They analyze the activities and interests of countries, regions, and non-state entities, as well as the impact of natural and man-made disasters. In addition, these analysts conduct multi-INT research, populate and exploit intelligence databases, produce and disseminate moderately complex intelligence products, and defend their findings in a variety of forums. Band 3 Imagery Analysts develop regional or functional expertise. They maintain relationships with their IC counterparts, international partners, and customers. They may also be expected to support 24/7 operations.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
  • Security Investigation required.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance with access to SCI.
  • Subject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination.
  • Subject to periodic examination on a random basis.
  • Must submit a Security Financial Disclosure Report, SF-714, on an annual basis if holding SCI access and under NGA cognizance.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and presenting briefings to meet the need of various audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience using critical thinking skills and/or data analytics to address matters of national concern, such as foreign military, environmental, and/or terrorism.
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with others.
  • Experience reviewing imagery to inform and supplement findings.
  • Experience using imagery to identify, characterize, and/or describe activities, objects, or features.
  • Experience preparing and submitting routine and non-routine products (ex: text, graphics, maps, data, reports, models) that meet quality standards.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Foreign Area Studies, Geography, History, International Affairs, International Studies, Military Science, Physical Science, Political Science, Remote Sensing, or a related field.
  • OR A combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience working in an Intelligence discipline analyzing and interpreting imagery and maintaining and building tasking strategies, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years.
  • OR A minimum of 4 years of experience working in an Intelligence discipline analyzing and interpreting imagery and maintaining and building tasking strategies, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work.
  • Distinguish principal colors and shades/hues of principal colors.
  • Near visual acuity of 20/20 or better with or without corrective lenses.
  • Stereopsis ability.
  • Hand steadiness.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in meeting requirements on scheduled collaborative work with other organizations in a fast-paced and/or constantly changing environment.
  • Knowledge of national or commercial imagery systems to include tasking, processing, exploitation, and analysis.
  • Experience in the federal government, specifically the military, Combat Commands, and/or Intelligence Community.
  • Experience with Esri suite of GIS tools.
  • Experience or familiarity coding in Python.
  • Experience explaining fundamental Super Intelligence (SI) concepts and/or technologies used for routine tasks.
