PD Illustrator/ Designer
About The Position
Nuby is seeking an Illustrator/ Designer to create fun and modern illustrations and designs for printable items. The role involves developing creative and innovative product design concept drawings, considering 3D aspects, for the Engineering department. The position also requires using Pantone color books for color assignment and checks, assisting other departments with art-related needs, and researching current market trends for baby/children's products. Applicants must be prepared to relocate to Monroe, Louisiana, if offered the position. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week, in-house position, though remote work may be considered for exceptional candidates. Applicants must have graduated or will be graduating by the end of spring 2025. A link to your artwork online must be included in your resume/cover letter.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design/ Illustration or related field (relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree)
- Well-rounded knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Ability to create illustrations and graphics in a variety of styles appropriate for baby and children’s products
- Ability to take critique well and adjust artwork when given feedback
- Great communication and organization skills
- Ability to work well both on a team and independently
- Must have graduated or will be graduating by the end of spring 2025
- Must include a link to your artwork online in your resume/cover letter

- Interest in/ experience with product design for babies and children (e.g. toys, bibs, sippy cups, bottles, tableware, etc)
- Stylized/cartoon animal and character designs

Responsibilities
- Creating fun and modern illustrations and designs for printable items
- Developing creative and innovative product design concept drawings (being mindful of 3D) to be given to the Engineering department to fully realize
- Using Pantone color books to assign and check colors for print/ product samples
- Assist various other departments with art-related needs as projects arise
- Researching current market trends for baby/ children’s products
