About The Position

Think Consulting is seeking an IFS Analyst for their client, a company that runs a consolidated IT function supporting a portfolio of fast-growing MEP contractors. This role is crucial for managing the IFS Cloud platform, which serves as the operational backbone. The analyst will be the primary point of contact for Finance, Operations, and IT when issues arise within IFS. This position offers a growth opportunity to delve deep into the platform, take on configuration and ownership responsibilities, and become a key expert.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on IFS ERP experience.
• Working knowledge across Finance, Projects, and/or Field Service Management (FSM) modules.
• Experience with IFS Cloud preferred; strong IFS on-premises backgrounds with a motivation to move to cloud will be considered.
• Comfortable working in JIRA, including creating tickets, updating statuses, linking issues, and contributing to sprint ceremonies.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate issues before escalating and document findings.
• Solid written communication skills for creating user-friendly SOPs.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Power BI as a reporting consumer or builder.
• Experience supporting ERP users in a construction, MEP, field service, or project-driven business.

Responsibilities

• Own the Tier 1 and Tier 2 IFS support queue end-to-end, including triaging tickets, resolving functional issues, escalating with full context, and communicating with end users.
• Support functional configuration work across Finance, Projects, Field Service Management (FSM), and HR modules, learning from the IFS Architect and gradually taking on more responsibility.
• Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), end-user training guides, and configuration documentation.
• Validate and document patch-dependent backlog items post go-live and assist with regression testing during future IFS upgrade cycles.
• Manage and update issues in JIRA, ensuring tickets are accurate, prioritized, and linked to business impact.
• Assist with Power BI dashboard support and data validation to ensure correct data flow from IFS to reporting layers.
• Participate in SteerCo sprint reviews and contribute to backlog grooming sessions with the IFS Architect and business stakeholders.
• Support user onboarding and change management for new capabilities, upgrades, or SOPs.
