About The Position

This position is generally responsible for supervising and providing technical direction to a team of designers while serving as a lead designer. The lead designer is accountable for delivery of electrical and instrumentation (E&I) deliverables and services on time, within performance budget, and to quality expectations. The role may also perform advanced design work as a technical specialist on complex assignments. It requires extensive progressive E&I design experience, use of project controls for cost, schedule, and quality, and the ability to work under minimal supervision. The role produces and coordinates a broad range of electrical and instrumentation design documents, supports project planning and cost estimating, and coordinates with clients, discipline leads, other disciplines, and design staff. It also provides technical guidance and mentoring, checks design work and calculations, and helps develop staff training and professional development. On-site assistance during startup may be required.
